Angie Byrd is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and owner of Full Hearts Counseling.
She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional who provides Christian based therapy in home environments, at her office and via teleheath. Angie has more than 18 years of experience as a therapist. She has a strong passion for engaging with people who are working to gain control over their situations to emerge more successful. She models and teaches nonviolent communication techniques combined with vulnerability, empathy, and compassion to help her client build positive relationships. Angie’s clinical experience includes a variety of settings, including inpatient and partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient treatment settings, mobile crisis, jail and prisons, homeless, and active duty military programs.
Through her experience she was able to work with many different adult, children, and family situations. This includes helping people find healing and adjusting to loved ones suffering through severe and persistent mental illness, post-traumatic stress disorder, developmental trauma, abuse, neglect, and addictions. Angie is dedicated to educating herself with trauma of all types and continues to learn a variety of modes of treatment to help people going through trauma. In addition, she provides supervision for young clinicians in hopes to spark a passion for trauma counseling. |
Karen believes in creating an open and nonjudgmental environment to help guide clients on their path toward wellness.
Karen is an LGBTQA+ and alternative lifestyle affirming therapist. She has extensive crisis assessment skills from working inpatient hospitals and emergency rooms, in juvenile detention centers, and intensive outpatient facilities. Karen specializes in working with trauma and trauma survivors (including sex trafficking), individuals experiencing psychosis, emerging adults, life transitions, anxiety and stress management, somatization, gender identity, and mood disorders. Karen received her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling at Texas Wesleyan University where she studied Professional Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy and School Counseling. |
Anna is a Licensed Professional Counselor who is currently also pursuing a PhD in holistic health. She is passionate about helping others help themselves.
She believes her purpose is to help others find the right path and methods to improve their quality of life through mental and physical development. She is currently completing her Trauma Certification through the Trauma Care Institute. She also is trained in Trauma informed yoga as well as Baptiste style yoga. She uses a wide variety of methods in counseling. One of her favorite models is Cognitive Behavior therapy. Anna specializes in working with children, adolescents, and adults with a focus on trauma and integrated well-being. Anna received her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling at Texas Wesleyan. She currently attends Wroclaw University in Poland and is targeted to graduate with her PhD in 2021. |
Susan Melton is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate who is supervised by Angela M. Byrd, LPC-S. Prior to gaining her counseling degrees, Susan has worked as a Special Education teacher and a Sign Language Interpreter. She has completed two Master of Arts degrees from Liberty University. She obtained a Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling: Marriage and Family and Professional Counseling.
As a child of deaf parents, Susan understands the unique challenges that occur for deaf families navigating in a hearing world. Her passion is creating therapeutic services to populations that often are overlooked. Susan's therapeutic approach is to create a safe and understanding atmosphere for each person to develop in accordance with their unique situation. She utilizes her compassion and understanding to connect to help her client’s to help them grow. She strives to match each person’s individual situation to the treatment model that will help them achieve their individual best. Susan’s passion is serving people struggling with ADHD, eating disorders, and mood regulation. She has a special heart for helping families with disabled children and adults. She hopes to bring encouragement, support, and develop new strengths with clients. She works with ages 6 years old to adult. She is fluent in American Sign Language. |
