Annie Severide is a Graduate Student Intern at Full Hearts Counseling, currently completing her Master’s in Professional Counseling at Dallas Baptist University, where she also earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
Under the guidance of Angela M. Byrd, LPC-S, Annie brings a heartfelt commitment to supporting adolescents, teenagers, and young adults as they navigate life’s challenges. Annie’s experience as a former college soccer player fuels her passion for working with athletes, helping them manage the mental and emotional pressures of competition, performance, and injury recovery. She is passionate about supporting individuals dealing with relational trauma, toxic friendships, and the process of healing and rebuilding self-worth. Trained in evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Nonviolent Communication (NVC), and Internal Family Systems (IFS), Annie integrates these techniques alongside Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients explore, process, and reframe their thoughts and emotions. Her therapeutic style is person-centered and faith-informed, emphasizing a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel truly seen and valued. Rooted in her Christian faith, she fosters hope and healing, believing that everyone deserves to feel empowered on their journey toward mental and emotional well-being. At Full Hearts Counseling, Annie embraces the organization’s belief that while we cannot undo past pain, renewal and hope for a better tomorrow are possible. She is dedicated to helping clients find resilience, build healthy relationships, and explore their personal stories within a supportive, accepting environment. If you are seeking a compassionate counselor who offers thoughtful guidance with genuine care, Annie Severide is here to walk alongside you in your healing journey. |
